Message from Staffordshire Police – Local Police Team regarding Rogue Traders in Halmer End

There have been several incidents around Halmer End where a rogue trader is visiting elderly residents and telling them that roof or chimney needs urgent repairs. They agree a price and will then ask for more money as they will state that they have found further work needed, when in fact little to no work was required in the first place.  Please share this message and inform elderly and vulnerable residents that if a tradesman comes knocking at your door advising that you need urgent repairs then please obtain a second opinion from a reputable local builder before proceeding.
